Hi all,

How to back calculate the amount or chlorides in VGO feed if the seperator sour water chloride analysis gives a value of 6 ppmvol

Thanks for your time

From chemistry perspective: determine water solubility in VGO at the separator pressure and temperature, and assume identical salt content in the water dissolved in VGO.
Analytical approach: measure the amount of water dissolved in VGO, separate the water and determine salt content/type.

The units in your 6ppmvol are a little confusing - do you really mean 6ppmw of chlorides per unit volume of VGO?
