I am working on a new sour water project to install a new sour water surge tank (~70,000 bbl) with an oil skimmer. The preliminary size of this tank is approximately 90' DIA x 63' High. The existing sour water tank has an external floating roof without any blanketing systsm (N2 blanket nor diesel). I am considering installing an external floating roof tank (like in kind) with diesel blanket instead of a fixed roof tank. Is anyone know the requirement for the sour water surge tank design?

Does anybody know how to clean the top of a floating roof if sour water with HC leaks through the seal?
