I am looking for a volume source for shortrange(~100ft) TX and RX-pager sized RX. The keychain TX are ok. Looking for portable RX to go with them. Can anyone point toward a source for these? I'm sure it wouldn't be a big step to convert a base type RX(typically a garage door RX) to a portable style-better yet I bet some manufacturer has developed a whole range of these type of products. Thanks again for any pointers.

Your best bet is Motorola. The typical key fob TX works in the 900 MHz band. Motorola makes commercial pagers that already work in the band. They make those units that resterants(sp?) use. That would reduce the problem to getting the paging formats right. You may even be able to get something off the shelf. If they can't help you, try Bill Price at w.e.price & company. He's a manufacturer's representative who's done some good stuff for me in the past. He'd be able to hook you up to the right people.<br>

The company you need is AutoMicro Technology.&nbsp;&nbsp;Go to Asiansources.com and look them up.&nbsp;&nbsp;

What about other parameters beside ~100ft? E.g. efficiency, EMI, battery charge, durability, waterproof, shockproof, weight, dimensions, metal or plastic housing, principle of operation, reliability, part count, cost, ISO, life-cycle, industry standards compliance, etc.
