An assembly I'm currently designing is exceptionally tight for space. I want to see how much access I have with a standard 8mm spanner (closed one end, open the other). Anyone know where I can find a drawing showing typical spanner dimensions that I can model for insertion into my 3D model. Have googled without success.

I don’t have the codes but here is the call out on combination wrenches. The are probably dimesions included.
Be careful as these wrenchs come in different weights depending on use.

DIN 3113 / ISO 3318 •• ISO 7738

It will probably take you longer to find, download & possibly fix the model than to draw the spanner you intend to use.

I had a similar problem recently and used the Machinery's Handbook. There's an extract from the SAE Aeronautical Drafting manual that shows the dimensions of spanners & sockets for various sizes of fastener.
