Hi guys,
I am new in this forum and I have to say that from the discussions I learnd a lot. I am Marco from Italy.
I made a very big model in Femap with a lot of component modelled with shell. After an analysis a saw that this component is critical. Now I realized another model with the item modeled with TET10 and I want to apply the displacement through the SPCD cards. I already clarified how to make this kind of analisys in another forum. My question is: is there a way to export in a fast way the nodes and their displacemets from the original model and apply them in the other model?
Could you help me please? Thank you very much!

If I understood well, you extract the displacement in the interface and then you want to analyse your part alone, with the effect of the interface displacements you already got.

I think spcd doesn't work well to impose displacements, but you can extract the acceleration or force and then use spcd (same nodes, with a tabled1 for acceleration) or use darea with the same logic;

or directly in femap in load>(choose load type) and then you can define or import your acceleration or force funtion and apply to the interface nodes of interest.

Hi leo16,
thanks for your answer.
why do you think that is not good to use displacements for the analysis of a single part?
