Is there a specific reference in the AISC code that states that the the yield strength, as determined from a lab test may be used in lieu of the ASTM material specified yield?

The 3rd Edition of the AISC LRFD has chapter N where it describes requirements for "Evaluation of Existing Structures."

Section N2 talks about using mill tests or other tests dealing with material properties.
