Specification on the Freckles in the macrostructure of steel ingots 1

I am looking for a specification relating to the freckles in the macrostructure inspection of steel ingots for forging and rolling parts for die molds.

What is acceptable an what is not acceptable for the freckles : size, shape, ….

I think you're talking about macroetch/macrograph test standards. If so check out:
ASTM E381 "Standard Method-Macroetch Testing...".
MIL-STD-430 "Macrograph Standards for Steel Bars, Billets, Blooms".
MIL-STD-1459 "Macrograph Standards for Steel Bars, Billets, Blooms...".

Actually i have made macroetching of an ingot. I can not send the picture (confidential) i have small freckles but i don't know what is the right standard ?

For exemple here a macro etchning picture of a 35 tons ingot with freckles extracted from a book.

Is there any numeric criteria to accept or not the ingot related to the freckles ?
