well, if you need to dispose of then it is cheapest with lime. The CaCl2 solution is then can be disposed of /or /used for inplant chilling unit

I understand that the spent caustic generated in refinary can be treated effectively by wet air oxidation process. worldwide Linde AG has built these type of plants. It depends on the quantity of spent caustic generated in refinary. I feel this is very simple and easy to operate. the technique is to convert s-- ions to so4-- and then mix with refinary effluent
