Splice Beam analysis concept 2

Just checking with people who have experience of working on something similar.Please find attached diagram,which concept is more useful as far as Stub Splice beam analysis is involved,whether to use one piece intercoastals or split intercoastal.Please post your views regarding same.

not sure i like your terminology ... intercostals are already "split".

both pictures look very much the same ... the grey longeron looks teh same in both, whereas i think you mean it to be an intercostal in the 2nd (and the frames are split in the first).

0.25" shim allowance ... ??

at the end of the day, either approach will work, i'd make the more heavily loaed member continuous (and the other would become an intercostal). pay more attention to fatigue loads.
