I am new to this thread. I have a problem which I think some of you can help me solving it.
Basically we are spray painting (solvent type) a white polycarbonate injected product and afterwards we are doing laser etching. The problem is that when we are doing the laser etching after the spray painting the symbol instead of white is coming bluish.
On the injected part no type of contamination is visible. I have suggested to the paint shop to reduce the amount of thickness of the spray painting but told me that this is not the case. However they are insisting that the injected product is the cause of this bluish.
I did a small test and inserted one of the injected parts in thinner for 1 second and the part came slightly bluish.
Can please someone help me out on this maybe someone expert on these issues.
