Hello, I have some trouble with Sap2000.
For studing the soil structure interaction problem i need to place under my linear oscillator a spring and a dashpot which work in parallel.
I see the possibility to drow a single joint link, but i'm not sure of which link/support propriety i need to define. I use "Linear" defining the stiffness (my costant K) and damping values (my costant C), i'm i doing it right?
Results (i lunch a time history) are not the same of other software that i use for my study (Opensees and Seismostruct)

Your understand is correct. A "linear" type link includes the option to input both stiffness (K) and dashpot (C) in each direction. You can experiment with this, but I believe you will need to define a modal time history analysis rather than direct integration. I know the modal TH will utilize C and K.. I'm not so sure about Direct integration TH
