Spring Weakening

I know that decreasing the diameter the wire used to make the spring weakens it however I personally have no way to do that, also increasing the diameter of the spring itself works but how would I do that as well, so its either taking away more rotations and stretching it or adding more rotations and shrinking it so give any reccomendations on how to weaken the spring

Put two spings in series, effectively increasing the number of coils.
