Hello Everyone.

I am new to the forum and looking forward to any knowledge I can gain being here.

I am currently working on a hotel that has three levels of parking of which all are partly below grade (the structure is on a hill). There are 9 floors above the top parking level. Am I required to have an individual dry pipe system for each level of parking or can all three levels come from one dry/deluge valve? The parking area is mechanically ventilated but not heated.

Thank you!

What year of the standard are you designing to? The newer versions require control valves, check valves, etc for each floor in a multi-story building. That may force your answer right there.

Also, putting 3 floors on a single dry pipe valve is going to equate to very large capacities. Can you get your 60 water delivery if you were to use a single system for the 3 floors?
