What fire protection sprinkler would you recommend for steel columns (460mm x 160mm I-profile)? The height of the columns is approximately 22meter.

What is the required flow rate and pressure for such sprinkler(s)?

We are planning to use a deluge water system on the columns.

Where can I get get adivice on the selection of sprinklers for this purpose?

NFPA 13 Section 12.3.7.1 details requirements for column protection for class I through Class IV and Plastic Commodities. That section provides several options with the easiest generally being a single sidewall at an elevation of 15 ft. pointed toward one side of the columne. However deluge systems are usually used in very specific applications which may have requirements beyond NFPA 13.

Also, local authorities may have requirements above and beyond NFPA 13. And if you are outside the US, there maybe additional codes.

If you don't mind saying, what kind of building is this, and what are you protecting?
