I am looking for the burst strength (psi) for 3" Square 304SS welded tubing with a wall thickness of .125 or .250.
Thank You in advance for any information you might provide.

I doubt you'll find a burst strength for square tubing, as it isn't normally intended for pressure applications.

You can calculate bending stress in the walls by treating the four sides as fixed-end beams (and add on tensile stress from beams on either side). Before the tubing actually burst, it would most likely round out pretty well, and you could get an idea of pressure required by calculating radius of a round tube with the same circumference, then figuring pressure required to reach ultimate tensile strength. The burst pressure could be reduced considerably depending on the weld quality.

You might want to review ASME Section VIII, Div 1 Appendix 13 for vessels of noncircular cross section - you might get some ideas from this mandatory appendix.

Most shaped tubing is not only not intended for pressure use, but it usually isn't annealed or mechanicaly tested. If this is structural or ornimental tubing you will probably fail a weld before you reach anything close to burst.
A 3" round corned square with these walls probably can't be treated as a round for estimation purposes. (a 3.75" od x 0.120" wall should have a burst of 5ksi). There will be a lot of deformation and local thinning as this trys to go round from the pressure.

Corrosion never sleeps, but it can be managed.

I've seen off-road enthusiasts use tubing that works as armor/protection double as an air tank and work fine, but I imagine the pressure would be no more than 150 psi and that the welding would need to be flawless.

I'm curious...what are you looking to do?
