Can anyone recommend a reference chart or document that gives the compatibility of ss304 with Sulfer Dioxide (SO2)?

We have corrosion problems on ss304 duct work 16"od 16ga.
We also had some water leaks, which didn't help.

Also, will passivating the ss304 help aleviate the corrosion already occurring and on new sheet metal sections?

From my NDE corrosion chart 304,304L & 321 shows:
Code:
               Temp: 20C 60C 100C
Sulfur Dioxide, Dry: Rec Rec Rec
Sulfur Dioxide, Wet: Rec NRec NRec

So the problem would be the combination of temp and moisture content. 316 & 316L are reccommended for dry at all temps and wet at bot 20 and 60 C. Not even duplex is recommended at 100C wet.

Someone with experience will likely be along shortly to assist more.
