My STAAD 2006 (build 1002) mysteriously started to crash when using the Help menu.
Bentley advised installing build 1005 but the problem persists, effectively I have no help facility, STAAD ok other than this - any ideas how to fix would be appreciated.
Tried but doesnt help. All other application help files work ok including STAAD 2005 - I believe windows is responsible for this problem regarding the 'Data Enhancement Protection' but why should it suddenly start to close down in this specific area ?
I have full anti-virus/firewall etc on network/pc
have you tried installing it on another computer ? if the problem still persist, then you should contact help center. our company buyed STAAD 2005, and we had the same problem, on WIndow XP, the technical support told us to install SP1(service packs), and SP2. this helped and "STAAD HELP" started working.
You are lucky my STAAD crashes regularly and tech support is no help and I stopped paying for support. I think Bentley is less inclined to help STAAD and would like us to change to Ram
I talked to a hold over from Research Engineers and he seem to be interested in helping but nothing has ever been done.
