Hi im new with STAAD,

I'm currently designing a circular foundation to support a steel tank, I included the steel shell in my model and applied my hyrdostatic and hydrodynamic within the shell tank. i noticed that I'm not getting much reaction at the foundation due to the later forces applied in the shell.

I'm considering a shell thickness of 6mm and didn't included the stiffener within the shell tank.

I'm just wondering if the stiffness of the shell is not enough to resist my lateral load would the load reaction it still travel in my foundation?

I suggest to post your .std file. It seems to me the less stiff your tank is the more radial reaction you would get at the foundation.
