How would I determine the overturning moment of a vehicle on tracks braking whilst on an 11deg decline.

would it make sense to take moments about the ground point under the CG ?

so the moment due to weight might be 67*1100*tan(11deg) and the moment due to braking -67*0.5*1100 (in kg*m or nearly dN*m)

You can assign labels ("stabilising" or "destabilising") to +ve and -ve moments as you like.

The most downward location of a the track wheel contact point will be the pivot location, so that would be the best place to calculate the moment.

However, in a more general sense, if the vector sum of the forces through the CG passes over that contact point the unit will tip over.

The limit case is determined by the amount of friction to allow the suggested deceleration rate.
