Stability Calculations of Buttress Dams

I am in search of guidence on calculations of global stability as it relates to butress dams. I have a project involving a buttress dam founded on shales and would like to gain more sources for determination of sliding, overturning, foundation failure, and other stability modes.

try army corps of engineers online manuals, bureau of reclamation texts, and other texts available for purchase or most likely w/in library of nearest engineering university library (ex. advanced dam design by jensen). i am currently designing concrete gravity dam and have relied on above references. good luck
