rolled and welded 5/8 thick plate to a cylinder 10 foot dia x 36" tall with .50 thk. flanges at end end. as rolled and welded condition round within .2 in a free state, after turning ID and OD to Engineering call out dia ending with 3/8 thick skin, releasing cylinder the roundness has moved to .60!
how stable is A514 material after removal of material?
