Stagger Weld "Greyed Out"

Hello all,
I am trying to add a "stagger weld" annotation to my weld symbol but the stagger options are all greyed out. Suggestions welcomed....

Firstly set the drafting standard in Document Properties - Drafting Standard to ANSI.

Next select the Upper/Lower Weld Symbols with the corresponding button on the "ANSI Weld Symbol dialog". After the "Stagger Weld" checkbox became active.
