I was wondering if anyone knows of a standard or would be willing to share a standard regarding scratches in sheetmetal.
During the fabrication of sheetmetal parts in a punch press, press braking, and handling. Parts get scratched. In some locations on our product this is unacceptable. We are trying to find a method to determine what is acceptable and what is not.
I was wondering if there are any standards like ANSI, ASTM, or others that would help define this.I've heard of "Type A Surfaces" before but I don't know what they refer to.Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
