Hi there,
I have to compare the corrosion resistance in HCl 20% of two titanium alloys. Could someone recommend me some ASTM standard to do it? This test is only for comparison purpose.
Thanks

Google search returns ASTM standards pretty easily, try that

"Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but they are not entitled to their own facts."

And I suggest a little literature search to see what people have used before.
Do you want it to be fully aerated or oxygen free? And of course the most important is the temp.
Will you have crevice samples or plain? Lots of details to work out.

Here are ASTM Standards

D1141 Practice for the Preparation of Substitute Ocean Water

D1193 Specification for Reagent Water

G1 Practice for Preparing, Cleaning, and Evaluating Corrosion Test Specimens

G47 Test Method for Determining Susceptibility to Stress-Corrosion Cracking of 2XXX and 7XXX Aluminum Alloy Products

There is a list of standard immersion corrosion tests used by MTI (Materials Technology Institute).
These are at std concentrations and temps and have reported information for many alloys.
Also look in the old Timet lit and see what corrosion testing they refer to.
