Hi all, I am starting to get that "standards" beast rolling here. To that end, I am looking to gather a few of your standard drawing notes for parts and assemblies from those who are willing to post.

I thank you in advance for your sharing...

Mine's next week KENAT.

Should be a ball... Good luck with yours.

COARSE, of course. 100X COARSE.

Our title block tolerance notes (almost unreadable on reduced scale plots and prints, which is why I am not an advocate of block tolerance notes) state "DIMENSIONS APPLY PRIOR TO FINISH". Manufacturing probably likes it, but we in engineering must remember to factor coatings into our tolerance studies, and note that it isn't representative of the finished product.

Hope your happy with your review KENAT, at least you have a great and very fair boss.

Thanks for the best wishes guys, review went fine, apparantly the sun shines from my proverbial;-).

As to whether that merits me a decent pay increase is another matter. They've changed the process now so I'm not sure when I'll find out.

I have a list of extra notes that we want to try and add but I'm not sure how we'll do it with the current set up. These are notes for things like sheet metal finish by numbers not ASME B46.1. ROHS and associated compliance, some standard testing on cables and changes to our Chromate Conversion note.

KENAT, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet...
