Hi,
I am looking trying to find a probe that I can insert through a 2-3/4" inch thick dryer wall that I can use for monitoring the static pressure inside the dryer. The eight inch long A-493 static pressure tip from Dwyer in the image below would work perfectly for me if it was available without the mounting flange, which is welded on.
The reason I have a problem with the welded flange is because there is an obstruction in my desired mounting location that will make me unable to insert this probe from the outside of the dryer. If I could get this probe without the mounting flange, my hope is that I could insert the probe from the inside of my dryer, securing it on the outside with a compression fitting and making the air line connection to my pressure transmitter in the small space I have available.
Dwyer does not offer a similar probe without a flange, and they are unwilling to do anything "custom" except in extremely large quantities. I am just wondering if anyone here might be able to suggest another manufacturer of static pressure tips that might have something that would work for me. Doing some googling has made me think that Dwyer is very dominant in this market, with few competitors (that I could find, at least).
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
thanks and best regards,
Paul
