We recently aquired a used CS7M Staubli controller with a RX60 Robotic arm. When booting up, the controller was not able to recognize the hard disk or the floppy. There is no floppy disk installed and one did not come with the controller. There are also E-Stop leds on the SIO Board. Does anyone know if the EStop is related to the lack of being able to read the disk. Also, does anyone know what steps to take in getting a new floppy disk and reformating the hard drive? Finally, if anyone has any documentation on the controller that isnt available from adept I would be very greatful.

This reply is a little late, but in case you're still looking for some information, here's what I know.

I'm not too familiar with the CS7M controller, I have mostly used the CS8C. However, from my experience, the E-stop should not be directly related to hard disk problem. If the CS7M has a USB port, it can be used to boot up the software. As far as formatting the hard drive, I've never had to do this with the Staubli controllers, you might need to get a hold of Staubli.
