Dear all,
Need your opinion. I'm in a project of constructing a new HRSG, 35tph @ 385 deg C and 40 barg. Our boiler vendor recommended the steam drum level controller not to be compensated with pressure. As far as I know, all my other boilers' steam drum have their level controllers compesated with pressure and temperature. However, the boiler vendor mentioned that since the drum dimension is considerably small (400mm), the effect of pressure and temperature is less, thus compensation not required. I've asked for detail clarification with calculations about this, in the meantime would like to seek your opinions also. Is what my boiler vendor mentioned correct? Thanks all.
