Dear Collegues,

I wonder whether someone can suggest me artciles an/or sources on steam turbine model (for dynamical performance simulation and control design).

I appreciate your help.

There are a number of software packages out there. Some examples are PEPSE (pepse.scientech.us), Gatecycle ( plant_perf_software/en/gatecycle/index.htm) and Thermoflow products ( The trick is to figure out what exactly you want to achieve - else you can be spending months in modeling without getting to a real answer. Also make sure that whatever models you come up with are proved by actual plant test data.

Thank you for the tips, I have looked at those. I know also the APROS power plant simulator. I hoped for the mathematical descriptions what I could use for control design (adative, model predictive, etc.). Scientific articles are rare on the topic. The balance equation software sounds promising in this matter.
