Hi guys,

Below are my client specification on the heat exchanger:

Design pressure (ext./int.): FV / 7barg
Design temperature (min./max.): -24 / 150degC

Steamout condition: FV / 7barg @ 225degC

In the mechanical design calculation (PV Elite), I should input 150degC or 225degC?
Any problem if I input 150degC?

Does ASME code mentioned anything regarding this?

你可以把蒸汽吹扫工况看做是操作工况,UG20有规定。
you can consider steam out condition as operating condition as UG-20.
UG-20 DESIGN TEMPERATURE
(a) Maximum. Except as required in UW-2(d)(3), the
maximum temperature used in design shall be not less
than the mean metal temperature (through the thickness)
expected under operating conditions for the part considered
(see 3-2). If necessary, the metal temperature shall
be determined by computation or by measurement from
equipment in service under equivalent operating conditions.
See also U-2(a).

If you are asking this question then I would endeavour to ask someone in your organisation who has sufficient experience to perform the calculations necessary!!!
