steel American to European code conversion table 3

We are looking for a conversion table from steel American code to steel European codes (DIN - UNI - etc.)

Comparative studies are made by the comissions charged with updaating the codes. Rarely will be available outside the group. Partial studies like this I have seen in print in Spain in a Magazine, made by or commissioned by the Technology Directorship of MOPT.

You might try searching on Stahlsluessel which
is german for what you are asking for. There might
be something on the web. I do have one at work
and find it invaluable. I list the major european
countries as well as the states.

I think an excellent idea is KEY TO STEEL which mentions all the major producers of alloys as well as comparison of several international designations. I think it's German and I find it excellent.

A book published by ASM (American Society for Metals) titled "Engineering Properties of Steel" lists all of the chemcial, physical, and mechanical properties of steel. In the back of the book, it also has a "conversion" section that has the AISI equivalents to the following countires:

France - AFNOR

Germany - DIN

Italy - UNI

Japan - JIS

Sweden - SS

United Kingdom - B.S.

United States - AMS
ASME
ASTM
FED
MIL-SPEC
SAE
UNS

I do not know of a web address, only this book.
