Steel Shear Collar Reference

Hi,

I'm working on adding an opening to an existing two-way RC slab. The opening is in a column strip and proximal enough to an existing concrete-filled steel tube column that the perimeter of the critical section for punching shear is reduced.

Can anyone recommend a reference for steel shear collar design?

I assume you mean a bracket or seat to extend the bearing area of the slab beyond the column. The principle of designing a seated connection in your structural steel code should apply. What are you doing about the flexural capacity lost by the hole?
