Hi,anybody has experience with steel through girder(bent) design? I have a Direct connetor bridge with 4 curved steel girders. And there is a steel girder go through these 4 girders and worked as an interior bent to provide support.
The load is going to be pretty heavy, we want to used bolted angle to attach through bent to the curved girder and use 2 bearing pads to support this through-bent.
Please let me know if you have any comments or experience with this design.

What you are writing of is not that uncommon. However, if you do not have experience in the matter it will take time to design/detail correctly.

As to the bolted angle, you're going to need a robust stiffened angle.

For the curved girders, you will want to provide some continuity and so will need to splice the the top flanges through the transfer girder (or bent beam) or through girder as you call it.

Due to the curved nature of the work your undertaking it may be advisable to use a box girder for the transverse, transfer girder. This type of cross-section will handle the out-of-plane stresses much better than a single web plate girder.

If this is new to you, I recommend discussing with a very experience bridge engineer, pay attention to fatigue critical details and also discuss with a fabricator.
