I have a steel pile cast into a cylindrical foundation. It is an IPE140. The diameter of the foundation is "d". The embedment depth is D. I have determined the moment and shear forces (M and V) at the center of the embedment. How can I determine if the pile is being pushed out of the side of the concrete? Which formula should I use?
