Stiffening rings for filter housing

I have had copied and manufactured housings for filter cartridges for water(with the original manufacturer desing and approval). But a client is asking me for the design calculations.
There is a stiffening ring that it is used as a flange and a sopport for the swing bolts and the oval nuts in the top of the shell and the top elliptical head. My question is, if there is an ASME Code to desing this stiffening ring ?.
