I have been asked by a masonry contractor to design the anchors for a new university academic building. An Indiana Limestone company is supplying the stone and stone shop drawings and I will be supplying the stone anchor shop drawings with my calculations for review. Currently, all of the anchors are tying the stone back to a vertical element predominately to a CFS stud wall with a large cavity. Foundations, steel lintels and shelf angles designed by the EOR provide gravity load support.
The scope may expand to include hanging a stone soffit. The building construction has already begun with the steel frame.
Does anyone have one or more sets of shop drawings showing the stone anchorage details for a similar building that they could share? I would expect you could erase the title block information. I would like to see the overall project with the typical details from the simple to complex. A Dropbox link or other cloud storage link may be required to download it.
Thanks!
