Hi all,

i have little experienced about estimate load transfer on bored pile using strain gages while performing axial compression static loading test (cyclic) in different level of pile, previously i just analyze using Hooke Law to calculation the load transfer. but recent i found Bengt Fellenius's Paper about pile stiffness, here is the link of paper :
in that paper explained that the strain gages change is not only caused by compression load at top of pile, but also strain change can be caused by other influences such concrete temperatur, and etc.

now i am still learn how to make the right analysis of strain gage instrument to calculation load transfer on bored pile or other deep foundation type, could you to explain how to do analysis this case and please describe it more clearly since i just have little experience about this?

thanks in advance,

M.A.

Check work done by Lymon Reese at the University of Texas. He did extensive research on this and was an authority on pile stress/strain distribution.
