strengthening member for axial compression 3

hi im looking on an existing I section brace to be retrofitted for new loads

the existing brace fails under axial compression for the new loads

anyone have any literature/design examples for bolting plates to web/flange
to strengthen the member

wrxsti's original post specifically asked for "literature". My response was me reading his or her request carefully and then doing my best to offer genuine help rather than seizing on the thread as an opportunity to peddle an agenda of my own.
