Stress Relief of smallish 316 parts 1

Yes they are about 100mm or smaller
Wire cut , machining , that sort of thing
My question
To what temp do I take the rough blank , and for how long
And also how do I cool it
My guess is 1100C, and rapid cool same as for annealing , I may be wrong

I have performed stress on small 316 SS parts at 850°C holding for 5 minutes and air cooling. This will give you all the relief that you need in short of quench anneal at 1100°C. The parts need to be cleaned, grease, oil, fingerprints, etc.

They only disadvantage is they have a heat tint when removed. If the heat tint is acceptable it is an excellent passivation procedure.

850C is risky. There are a number of secondary phases that may form/not disolve at that temp. If your starting material has a nice clean microstructure and low C, you can probably get away with it.
1050C is a better bet.
If the parts are thin then cooling should be an issue. They will cool plenty fast
