I am looking for easy to use, windows oriented structural design programs for steel frame and concrete slab design. Nothing too fancy as we specialize in Tiltwall construction so my buildings don't require intricate analysis. Any source of helpful literature/books would be greatly appreciated. I have checked the local bookstores to no avail.
Thank you for your time,
You could also try Prokon.com
They have a comprehensive set of programs to British and some US standards. Demo versions are available.

Any one can tell me whether there is a web site on help/tutorial using staad pro and Struct.etc

Thanks

Chris

I've tried out all of these programs. I found Risa and Enercalc to be the easiest to use. STRAP was also nice. Another program you should check out is RAM Steel (not cheep). Check out They also have a student version download available of RAM advanse which is similar to Risa! In fact, if your only doing simple 2D and 3D frames, this student version works great! Also, there aren't any locks on printing and saving. Try beating that! At the web site they will send you an execution file for the download.
