I am going through software reviews to decide on a new structural analysis package. I have now narrowed to RISA 3D, GT-STRUDL, and RAM-Advanse.

Your comments on any or all would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ron

RISA 3D is very user friendly, accurate, and their tech support is great. I have always found their techs to be knowledgeable and helpful.

I use both RISA 3D and MIDASGEN and highly recommend both. RISA is the ultimate in user friendliness for general structural analysis and design although Report outputs/presentation could be improved. For more refined structural analysis such as time history MIDASGEN is also excellent. Learning curve is a bit longer than for RISA but understandable considering its capabilities but again as for RISA modelling is a dream. Like RISA, MidasGEN could improve the presentation of the results.
