Hi all

I would be grateful if somebody could help me regarding structural codes in Singapore. What is applicable etc?

If the information I have is correct then previously it was British Standard but since British Standard now is Eurocode, does that mean that Eurocode applies in Singapore? And, if so, where can I find the national annex for Singapore?

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Thomas

ThamasH,

I think you will find that they still refer to the british standard which, incidentally, has not yet been totally superceded by the eurocodes.

Singapore has their own design codes, currently a copy of the British. Eventually they will follow the British to Eurocode, and, as they copy the British code, will presumably copy the British annex!

Thanks

Now I think we know where to start looking.

are you looking to work overseas?

@s16

Nope, we actually have a project in Singapore. I just wanted to check what codes apply to be able to ask the right questions at the start-up meeting.

British Standard = Eurocode => National Annex etc

Regards

Thomas
