Structural design for substations 2

Hello,
I've never done a substation structural design before but will be doing so very soon. How do we convert a current provided by an EE into a structural load? What are the codes to be followed?

I agree that there are some concerns to electrical engineer equipment designers just as important as forces occurring inside pumps and compressors that keep the MEs awake at night, however my experience is that very few of them, if any, will ever worry the structural engineer, surely as long as we are excluding generators and their drivers.

dauwerda... my experience too, including dimension spacing and clearance requirements that vary depending on the size of the conductors.

Rather than think climate change and the corona virus as science, think of it as the wrath of God. Feel any better?
