Structural

Good day All,

Actually I am trying to define design load that needs to be applied on structure. This sentence is from the standard - ''The calculation of maximum effective weight shall include possible trapped water (when filled out of water) and possible suction when lifted from the sea bottom.'' Then the standard point 3.11.2 indicates that 2.5 DF(DESIGN FACTOR) is the worth condition but the word effective weight still confuses me.

Can anybody let me know if I should take weight of trapped water into account even I take 2.5 as design factor in below formula for MGW or MGW = Tare mass + SWL as normally.

[F][/sub]=2.5 x MGW x g

All responses are deeply appreciated. If any question please don't hesitate to ask
