An agitatator is required to operate inside a digestion vessel containing app. 30 Metric tons of 18% HCl operating at 105 deg. celsius, maintained at 0.35 kg/sq. cm. g so as to keep the HCl in liquid form.

The digestion vessel is intended to dissolve blue dust (ferric oxide 99 % of particle size -1mm) through chemical reaction with HCl that converts it in to ferric chloride. App. 2.5 metric tons of blue dust is used up in one batch of digestion that lasts about 10 hours.

The solution needs to be agitated in order to distribute the blue dust throughout the tank. A suitable material for agitator needs to be suggested. The material will not only have to resist corrosion by HCl and FeCl3 but also high abrasion by the blue dust particles.

Any solution to the above problem would be most welcome.
