Hi.

For you process folks I have the following question: If you run a long pipe with 2 phase fluid to catch up the condensate in a trap and you want to release the condensated water to atmospheric pressure to generate steam which you want to lead away using a "chimney".

Would this chimney be a flue stack chimney or a "cooling" tower? How are they designed and what are the name of them? any resources would be great

I am not very sure of what you wish to achieve in your system that you have depicted. However if water is superheated at that operating pressure of your system dropping its pressure to atmospheric will not condense any water as its obvious that you have superheated steam.
