Hey all,

As the title suggests I am looking for some papers that have results that show failure of duplex SS with a caveat that the operating conditions/environment were within the suggested guidelines per DNV RP F112.

Pretty much I want to see how rigorous these limits are and if they are any instances where special circumstances lead to failure but stayed within the defined limits.

Thanks All!!!

From,

So you need someone to prove to you the DNV are wrong, isn't it? Very tall ask, because usually they put the money where the mouth is and most of the people think they're right. I could be wrong, but I am yet to see someone claiming DNV are incompetent and misleading people.
Anyway, good luck on your endeavour...

The limits are suggested to avoid failures, and they are based on failure analyses. Why don't you like RP-F112?

I do like it because its very conservative and was just trying to see if there were any real world special circumstances like a perfect storm that still managed to be within the guidelines but failed. I havent found any perfect storm cases yet.

It's highly likely that such instances would get flagged up pretty quickly.
