Surface definition with internal elements

Hi

I like to define a surface which inludes interior elements. Abaqus/CAE ha not option to create surface with internal elements. I also tried to use edit keywords but doest allowe me to define surface. Can anybody suggest a way how to create a surface with internal elements for general contact algorithm.My model 3D solid deformable body.

How can internal elements be in a contact algorithm? If you could define such a surface, which direction would the outward normal be? I think you need to redefine your problem.
