surge suppression device to protect a 120VAC PLC input card

by spec i must supply surge protection for each individual PLC input in my panel. These devices are all of the voltage free (dry contact type) where the 120VAC will be supplied by my panel. i found a WAGO MOV to ground terminal block and i believe this is the appropriate device to comply with the spec and protect my PLC input card from voltage transients. Has anyone used these devices before? Thanks for any help.

I have not used them though I agree that would meet the spec as they are 'dry' type protection.

Thanks for the reply. I have requested a recommendation from several of the terminal block companies like WAGO, AB and Phoenix Contact just to see what their ideas are.

Let me know! I'm often faced with the issue and loath having to individually install MOVs or other devices. I hadn't heard of them built into the connectors.

I have used these,

And from Allen Bradley have used 1492-H2K120 and 1492-JD3SS, lately more of the JD3SS.

So far no problems with any of these I know of.

The panel builder for this job has used this block for quite some time in several critical applications, their preferred terminals are all Phoenix Contact.
