I'm currently designing a "universal" bracket that will clamp on to the T-Bar of a suspended ceiling. Is there a "standard size" or specification for these?
Thanks!

I put one in my basement - I ended up using USG, but checked out some lighter duty ones that had a shorter leg on the tee - can't remember what the dimension was, or the make. So obviously they are not all the same, but I think the width is pretty standard. I used some 12' long members which are 15/16" x 1.5", and either 2' or 4' cross members, which are also 15/16" x 1.5".

Thanks EnglishMuffin. 15/16 would be my "critical" dimension.
